Patricia is a Senior Fellow at The Research Institute, Western Oregon University (WOU). She also is research faculty at the Oregon Health & Science University. She is CO-PI on Project PIECE, a professional development project to recruit, retain, and graduate Early Childhood Education/Early Intervention scholars from underrepresented backgrounds funded by the U. S. Department of Education: Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). She is Project Director of Project EF: Executive Function in Infants and Toddlers Born Low Birth Weight (LBW) and Preterm is funded for by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) and the Ford Family Foundation. She is Publications Chair for the Division of Early Childhood (DEC) of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and a former associate editor of Young, Exceptional Children and on the review board for Journal of Early Intervention. She is also membership chair for Oregon DEC.
